Everything is going well at Herberger's. I actually like it there a lot more than I thought I would. I'm still not sure what I'll have to work for Black Friday, but I'm almost positive I won't get the 11:30-7am shift, thank god.

I got into all the classes that I need to get my AA. I applied for graduation last week, so hopefully all will go well.

Today Annie and I went to see Puss in Boots. It was actually a pretty good movie, and the whole atmosphere of it was a lot different than any of the Shrek movies. I think Annie really liked it, especially since she's been pestering mom and dad for a cat lately.

Speaking of Annie and pets - the other day Bob (her beta fish) had a little mishap. His tank was getting cleaned and he accidently fell down the sink. I was going to try to grab him out but instead of the light switch getting switched on ... the garbage disposal was. It was fish sushi. My mom felt really bad so she took Annie to Petco to buy some new fish. Problem solved, right? Nope. Today Annie told my mom that she couldn't find her fish (she'd gotten three neon tetras), which my mom couldn't find either. Upon my inspection, I found one of the fish covered in mucus stuck to the Nemo figure she has in the tank. I took the tank to clean it, only to find the other two dead fish stuck inside the filter. One was so embedded into the screen that I had to scrape it off - it was disgusting. So this time around, I think my mom is wanting to get Annie another beta.

I think we should name him SoySauce. c(:

So I got a new job at Herberger's. I went in for the interview and she hired me right off the bat. Now I'll have a new balancing act to handle between Pizza Ranch, Herberger's, and school. It should get interesting, but hopegfully it'll all play out smoothly. I'm going to be a seasonal sales associate but was told that after the holiday season, she could possibly hire me on fully. I'm ready for a change of scenery - the whole cowboy gettup just isn't working for me much anymore. :P

On Monday I have a meeting with my community college counselor. I'm planning on taking 16 credits in 6 classes. The classes I'm planning on taking are Human Nutrition, Introductory Chemistry, Introduction to Literature, Creative Writing: Fiction, State and Local Government, and Interpersonal Communication. With all of these classes, I'll meet the requirements for both my high school and the community college. Basically meaning that, if all things go as planned, I'll graduate from the community college in May with my Associate's before I graduate in June at the high school. So be prepared to come to both of my commencements, haha.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Renaissance Festival with my friend Dana and her boyfriend Skyeler. It's over an hours drive but it'll be worth it. Dana's letting me borrow a dress for costume and I'm pretty stoked to wear it around. Lame, I know, but I think it'll be fun. I'm planning on snatching the pink camera to take some pictures ... especially since I heard tell that Hunter and Cari (some of Annie's friends) are going to be at the Festival the same day that I'm going.

Overall, I think it will be a fun day and hopefully I'll have some pictures to post on here. Toodles!

School is going good. Work is decent. It's all going good.

My family and I started a detox and in four days I have lost four pounds. It has cut out gluten and lactose from my diet and I feel great, so I think I'll stick to it as best I can ... plus who's going to argue with losing weight?

Once again I did not go to WW. Two weeks ago I had to open at work so I wasn't able to make it. This week, I could have made it but I was just too tired.

I know, I know. Good excuse.
But I really was.

The County Fair took place in my town this week. I worked mornings at my normal job and right afterwards, I headed to the fair to work at Tom Thumb Donuts. I worked over 60 hours total this week and all I want to do is sleep for days on end. I also hope I didn't eat too many free donuts and gain a bunch of weight ... not that they wouldn't have been worth it though. (;

So, I have 11 bug bites on my right leg. Three of them swelled all up and hurt pretty bad, but now they've scabbed over. Four more of them decided to swell up recently. They've all kinda had this weird clear/watery/pussy stuff in them too. It doesn't feel too good, like at all. So now Dr. Mom is "doing some research" to make sure I don't have another freak-disease. Yay. >:P

Today I took my sister to the Spam Museum. I'd been there before but Annie must not have realized that as she pulled me through the place, pointing out all the things we could do. For a smaller museum, it's a pretty neat place and it's actually pretty fun to learn about something as ridiculous as Spam. Afterwards we hopped into the gift shop where Annie picked out a flyswatter to not only "shoooooooooooooo!" the bugs with but to also itch her back. Clever kid.

Marching season will officially be over tomorrow when I turn in my equipment and practice flag. The first couple parades were super nice because the main problem we had was the humidity. Of course throughout the month, weather decided to be a poopface and by the end of some parades it looked like I had jumped into a pool. Yeah, it was disgusting. But we did find a cute cat, Xochi, on the last weekend. ^^

Now Xochi is at my friend Danielle's house. No one is able to take her in and by now she'll be more adapted to the housecat lifestyle so she'll more than likely have to be taken to the local Humane Society. It's better than the woods though, that's for sure.

Well, it's five parades away from being the end of marching season. Sunday the drumline and color guard are all invited to the band director's house for food and awards. This season went pretty well. There was one really nice weekend when everybody seemed to be getting along perfectly (a rare occurence, let me assure you) and I have no doubt in my mind that I can attribute that to the lack of one certain flag member.

On Wednesday we went to Thunder of Drums. It was absolutely amazing. Never in one show have I seen a colorguard on stilts and band members perform upsidedown. It was mindblowing, no joke. I would advise anyone to go whenever the opportunity presents itself. The next day we went to Valley Fair and that was fun too.

I also got my ACT scores via email. I did pretty decently which has once again raised my excitement for college. Hopefully I'll "click" better with people at my school than I have with the people in this town. And hopefully they'll also have colorguard. :P

So, today was my last day at the high school. Next year I'll be a senior but all of my classes will be at the community college.

This week is gonna be super busy for me. Yesterday, the band played for the Memorial Day service. Today I had the Ahlahasa banquet. Tomorrow I work. On Thursday is Water's Edge. Friday is my cousin's wedding, where Annie is the flower girl. Saturday we're going to my grandma's brother's house. Sunday I'm going on a cave tour with my family and on Monday I'm going to ValleyFair.

Oh! And then Tuesday through Friday is Power Week for color guard. That Saturday is my ACT testing, along with a parade. Sunday is a parade day too. Holy. Crap.

I'm gonna need a loooong nap after this.

Long time no see ... again.

So, a few weeks ago was prom. I went with a group of friends and had a pretty eventful evening. And I'm also pretty sure that I'm like, the best chauffeur in the world.

I recently got inducted into the National Honor Society. On top of that, Ahlahasa is working on the Senior Issue. Yesterday was my first Color Guard practice of the season. We have a bunch of new girls and so far, they seeem to be learning pretty quickly.

This week was finals week at Riverland. I finished all of my finals by Wednesday however and it's looking like I'll have all A's and B's. On the other hand, ALHS doesn't get out until June 2nd. Then I'm forced to play at Commencement. Unfortunately, our band only has 4 clarinets. One is a senior and one is moving - so that means me and the other clarinet player were basically forced into doing it.

Hmmm, I guess that about covers it. I'm real exciting, I know. :P
Oh, and P.S. - I never should've bought that purse!!! I'm broke as a joke!!!

So, I kinda realized I haven't actually written anything on here for a terribly long time. Probably because I'm not that interesting of a person. But...yeah.

Next year I am more than likely going to be a full time PSEO student. Depends on how the whole Ahlahasa thing goes. Considering that they know EXACTLY how to tick me off, I don't exactly have that as the highest priority on my list. The entire thing is a joke.

My new job has some ups and downs. Like the fact that we keep hiring the stupidest of people. I honestly can't understand how some of these people can screw up the simplest of things, like salad bar. Who knows where they find these people. On the plus side, they are pretty nice so I guess I can't completely complain.

Hm, what else. I bought a new Dooney and Bourke purse. I'm sure my mom is uber annoyed by it 'cause I keep asking her if it's here yet. It's not. Jerks. I also got a D&B wallet off of eBay. I wanted a matching pop novelty one, but they cost more than the purse!

My friends and I have gotten kinda distant. I think it's mostly happened because I've finally realized how much they annoy me and that I have no reason to stick around and deal with that. It's kinda sad knowing that, to me, this is the only school that I can remember not feeling a part of. I can't say that I'm emotionally attached to even a handful of these people. That's fine though, I guess.

After my senior year, I want to go to Iowa State University or University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I keep questioning the whole "vet" thing but I figured I might as well go for it. I'd hate to change my plans and one day wish that I had at least tried to become a vet. I'm still not quite sure how it'll feel to be on my own, although I'm almost entirely positive that I'll be living off Ramen and Spaghetti-Os...not that I have a problem with that.

The other day, my friend and I were talking about moving to Las Vegas. I think I'd like it, actually. Not the whole going to the Strip every night, but the hot weather with no snow. And the options of going to so many different places instead of just the usual Target or Kohl's. I think anybody growing up in a small town like this needs to at least spend a week in a place like Vegas. I swear - they all seem to have grown up in a box with windows only to Mankato and Austin.

Hmmm, what else?

Color guard season is starting soon. No one really seems to know how long it will last since the school's budget cuts mean the band director (who is also the drumline coach) will most likely be getting fired. And with no drumline and no marching band, we can't have flags. I think it's absolutely ridiculous, especially since, from what I've heard, none of the budget cuts are affecting sports. I think our school district could most certainly handle one or two less coaches. Personal opinion though, I guess.

Caribou finally opened in our town. That's pretty neat-o.
I'm starting to go tanning. My entire butt is red but doesn't hurt.
I'm trying to lose the weight I gained back after losing weight.
It's my birthday in 142 days. We're gonna go gamblin'.
School's done in 50 days.
That's all I can think of for now.
But I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff. Ugh.

It took me a lot longer to get to this than I had originally planned, whoops!

Anyway, my Secret Santa had indeed been Sarah. How she managed to pull my name is beyond me but I do appreciate all the gifts - especially the Ariel doll that sings. Annie kinda dubbed it as her own but that's okay, she'll put more use to it than I would've.

I had a fantastic Christmas. We opened gifts a day or two early since my dad had to work and we were going to be heading up to the cities. Everyone seemed to enjoy their presents - I know I do (maybe not so much Bowser, who's butt I happen to be kicking on Mario Party for my new orange DSi).

I've also become the home for uncountable SeaMonkeys. My mom doesn't see the awesomeness in them that I do.

We also got a new Betta fish - Pickle. He seemed to have a hard time swimming around in his Ariel tank. And no, not because it wasn't manly enough - 'cause it totally is. The filter appeared to be creating a current that he couldn't seem to escape from unless he hid by Ariel, which didn't leave him much room to do anything. So instead he just let his fins get sucked into the filter. Moronic fish.

Anyways, I moved the filter behind Ariel so he has more room on the other side of the tank and can actually swim. He's a happy camper now. (:

Well, I made it back from Colorado. It was super fun and I would encourage anyone to go. We did so many things, I usually just don't even know where to begin.

Hmm, other than that, this month is...busy. This week I'm working at Arby's and in the Tom Thumb stand at our county fair. I'll admit it - I'm in it for the money (although, they both can be pretty fun sometimes). I start school at the community college in a couple weeks and a few weeks after that, I'm starting some more classes at the high school. At the end of the month I'm heading to the state fair with my family and my boyfriend. It should be fun.
Oh, and did I mention I got a car?

This Saturday I'll be heading out to Colorado and'll be back on the 25th. The YFC in my town is takin' us to Quaker Ridge Camp. There was a hefty price to be paid ($540 alone if you chose not to go on the three day hike, go whitewater rafting, or eat on the drive down/up) but it sounds pretty fun: rappelling, hiking (even if you don't go on the three day), horseback riding, rope courses, zip lines, a pool, volleyball, basketball, stuff like that.

The only couple downsides is that they take your phone away so that you can be "more focused" (Buncha bull if you ask me - we should at least get them nights.) and that I've heard rumors floating that you pray before almost everything you do. I'm not a big fan of praying. In fact, I'm no fan at all. I would say I understand since it's a Youth For Christ trip and all but I honestly don't. If you feel you gotta pray, I think you should before you eat and before you go to bed. That's 'bout it. I guess I'll endure. (;

Until then, you can find me down at Arby's, saving money, and wreaking havoc.

I've come up with a new rule of thumb: don't let idiot friends come by you with small rodents. Why is this, you are probably asking. It's simply because they're likely to place the mother on the desk before you where you have placed its grown child. And said mother will probably try to kill it. Chances are you'll have to pull them apart, only to have one bite you causing you to drop it. The poor beasts will go at it again - and god forbid your idiot friend step in at any point, they're pretty good at standing around with a dumbfounded look across their face anyway - and this time, the child will manage to clamp on to your middle finger as you attempt to separate them. Once you manage to whip the animal into the cage (and I most literally mean that), your finger will bleed. And bleed.
